Fans of classic television programs might recollect that the town of Mayberry was located in North Carolina. You won’t come across any such town as Mayberry out of the  Andy Griffith Show, but the scenic and historic area of North Carolina will take you back to those less complicated times.  Whether you desire a bed and breakfast in the Charlotte metro area or opt for one of the rural cabin rentals on the eastern slope of the Great Smoky Mountains, you are certain to discover romance, history, and a lot of family enjoyment in North Carolina.  There are three distinct regions in North Carolina, the mountains, the piedmont and the coast.   Southern hospitality, welcoming people and reasonable rates are in each region across the state.

One of the most romantic getaways is the 1927 Lake Lure Inn and Spa.  Situated on the shores of Lake Lure, this inn attracts visitors from all over.  If you are travelling with your boat,  the Lake Lure Inn and Spa  is inclusive with boat launching facilities and dock.

North Carolina’s shoreline attracts tourists from all over the world. The splendor of the ocean, sunny and temperate conditions and the rich marshes and wetlands are simply some of the factors North Carolina beaches are one of the most popular attractions in the country. Whether you are searching for a romantic getaway or a family vacation, North Carolina beach house rentals are accessible. With more than 300 miles of unspoiled shoreline, it’s easy to find the perfect seaside for your retreat … whatever the occasion.

North Carolina constructed ten lighthouses along their coast line throughout history, seven of which exist today as reminders of the full coastal culture. Maybe the most famous of the lighthouses is the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, completed in 1870. Now more than 175,000 guests gather to climb the 257 steps to the pinnacle. Recently the lighthouse made quite a stir in the media as the vast structure was transported nearly 3,000 feet in the summer of 1999 to ensure its preservation from the encroaching Atlantic Ocean.

North Carolina presents a variety of historic and beautiful areas to go to. From the Carolina Beach State Park along the Atlantic Shore to the Fontana Village Resort barely south of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, you’ll locate no shortage of places to go and things to do when vacationing the Tarheel State. In addition to outdoor recreation such as fishing and backpacking, North Carolina features a number of museums as well as a number of cultural institutions; many famous bluegrass, country and blues artists call this state home.  There are additionally loads of North Carolina mountain cabin rentals all the way through the state to lodge in.

Places to visit while in North Carolina include Tanglewood Park, residence to equestrian events, fertile gardens and more, and Chimney Rock State Park, home to one of the most rare geologic formations in the eastern U.S.   If you visit Winston Salem, be sure to check out the Old Salem Museums and Gardens for a idea of what life was like during America’s colonial period; another historic area worth checking out is the Village of Ocracoke, one of the barrier islands where natives converse with a brogue virtually unchanged for two centuries.

North Carolina has ambiance, history, and a lot of family fun activities to take part in all through this impressive state.  Go to see North Carolina and depart feeling relaxed, revitalized and proud of our national history.

People will go out and get these kinds of vacations for reasons, and good ones at that.

It would certainly seem that people are actually a lot more likely to relax when they are not near their homes or work which is why going halfway across the world to a spa resort is a perfect way to actually relax? There are so many people are put off by the costs of these kinds of holidays but if you look into it there is no difference between any other holiday so you cannot go wrong by jetting off on something like Caribbean spa holidays. No one wants to be stressed at home let alone anywhere else.

This is a vacation and you are entitled to have one from time to time and what better way to take one than not having to worry about driving, spending money or anything like this because more often than not al lot of the costs are covered for when you are staying at a place like this, which is always good. This is great for people as you do not have to stress over anything at all and this is what a lot of people want when they go on vacation.

You will often find that some of the scenery that you can find on your travels is far better than watching someone looking awful getting into the hot tub with you in your local spa.

The essence of your camping trip will determine which camping accessories are required There are camping trips which use the traditional tents and there are also others in which recreational vehicles are used. Having the right outdoor camping accessories though can make the difference in how comfortable you are and how smoothly it goes.

Kitchen Camping accessories

Pots and pans are camping kitchen accessories on the most basic level that might be needed for cooking food. The tent can be made waterproof to a degree using certain sprays, but many not hold up if exposed to heavy rainfall. To get protection from the sun, you can use shade extensions. You attach these extensions to the opening of the tent so campers can get a break from the sun. These kind of camping accessories may only be needed however if there is no recreational vehicle to serve as a backup or you are expecting extreme weather such as heat or rain during the trip.

Other necessary camping accessories include either a flashlight or lamp. This way, campers can find their way around at night outside the range of the campfire glow. These kinds of camping accessories also help in emergency situations and should not be left behind when taking a walk in the outdoors during a camping trip even if it is still daylight.

Revealing The Myths About Benidorm Hotels

Posted by traveltips

One of the most visited tourist resorts in Spain, Benidorm, is a coastal town located in the province of Valencia. There is something to fit every type of budget—from luxurious resorts to inexpensive seaside hotels, with the large array of Benidorm hotels and accommodations.

Benidorm is often dismissed as an overly commercial resort town full of cheap alcohol and wild parties, despite the numerous family-friendly attractions in Benidorm and the natural beauty of its coastline. Benidorm is a value-packed holiday destination for holidaymakers who want to enjoy a vacation filled with sun and fun, with an average of 315 sunny days a year and the wide range of Benidorm hotels.

Before you plan your next holiday, look at the following truths behind the myths:

1. MYTH: The City of Benidorm is overrun with tourists from England.

Benidorm is assuredly a popular vacation destination for many UK and European tourists, but only 350,000 permanent expats live in the entire Costa Blanca area. You are likely to hear every type of accent in Benidorm—from American to Japanese, since the resort caters to a large variety of international tourists.

2. MYTH: The majority of the food available in Benidorm consists mostly of fish and chips.

While fans of fish and chips can find a few shops selling these foods, Benidorm is a cosmopolitan city that offers a broad variety of international cuisine. The city can cater to a large assortment of tastes, with a wide range of food choices, such as Italian, German, Chinese and Spanish. Numerous fine dining establishments serve an array of regional Spanish cuisine, making Benidorm a good destination for those interested in trying new foods.

3. MYTH: Before the large influx of tourists, Benidorm was a charming, quiet fishing village.

This myth is widely quoted, but doesn’t hold much truth in it at all. The city does have a long-standing relationship with the sea, but the actual harbour of Benidorm is far too shallow to be used for fishing. As well as deep sea fishing, crews trained in the use of Almadraba netting to catch Spanish tuna and for centuries, the villagers provided a willing workforce for the Spanish Merchant fleet. The village willingly embraced the tourism industry and holidaymakers visiting the city benefit from the hospitality of the hotels in Benidorm.

4. MYTH:Benidorm imports most of its sand from Morocco, because it lacks its own sandy beach.

One of the reasons the region became a tourism hot-spot, Benidorm’s seven-kilometre stretch of silky, white sand is completely natural. In fact, Benidorm actually exports some of their sand to several resorts in the area.

What To Pack For A Vacation

Posted by traveltips

When you are getting ready for a vacation it can be difficult to know what you might need. When you are far from home then you want to be prepared for anything. Here are some tips to ensure that you won’t need to run to the nearest store to pick up items you wish you had brought with you.

Whether you are waiting on a delayed flight or relaxing on the beach, you might find that you want something to occupy your mind. For this you have a couple of options. Puzzle books or a laptop are two great choices. This may also be a good time to catch up on your reading.

Most women can’t live without at least one purse with them. Whether or not you usually carry a purse, this might be an instance where one will come in handy. A hobo bag or even a fanny pack can give you a place to keep your wallet and any extras you need when out and about.

Shoes are another must have. Always take an extra pair or even two. Be sure you pack both of them though. Arriving to find you have only packed one brown boot may put a damper on some activities. Going shoe shopping should be optional when on vacation.

Most people find that traveler’s checks are best when far from home. These are usually easier to replace than cash or credit cards if lost or stolen. Remember to keep any phone numbers in a separate place in the event your purse or wallet is stolen. This can save a lot of time in getting them replaced.

Girls usually pack a lot more than boys yet they tend to forget a few essential items. When picking out girls shirts to take with you, try to pack at least one long sleeved shirt as well. This is advised even if you are going to a tropical paradise. Nights may be much cooler in an area than you may think.

Pack anything that you simply can’t live without in a carry on. This can be a life saver if your luggage is lost and it is a few days until it is found. Always keep your money on you and your plane tickets as well. If you have already rented a room then have that information on you as well.

A vacation is an adventure and you never know what you may need. If you are planning a holiday away from home then be sure to pack everything you might need. Keep in mind the length of time you will be gone when deciding how much to pack.
